From Palette to Canvas

The Light of Nebraska

In 2011 the From Palette to Canvas project was created and funded through a community project and crowd funding. The first in this series was called "From Palette to Canvas: The Colors of Wahoo".

While traveling all over the Saunders County area, taking photos, I chose 16 subjects to paint. Following the completion of the 16 paintings, a community nonprofit art show showcased the original art and donated pieces throughout the community. These pieces have become standard art in public and private spaces.

Now an expansion of the series continues the From Palette to Canvas project to encompass the State of Nebraska.

Six gallery quality paintings will showcase the beautiful light of Nebraska landscapes.

A nonprofit, public art showing will display the entire collection prior to each painting being donated to six public libraries across Nebraska.
